Nutrition and Fitness Counseling / Coaching
Do you feel you've tried all the treatment programs out there, but nothing has worked? At Persevere Wellness, we do things a little differently.
I believe every person is unique - and should be treated that way. What works for one person may not work for another, which is why no plans are the same.
The Process: Outpatient Treatment
Outpatient services are designed to set you up for success. Every plan starts with getting to know you. This includes understanding your medical history, your diet history, where your mental health is at, what you've tried in the past and what you want to achieve. No goal is too big or small. If it's important to you and you're passionate about it, we can get there together.
Once I understand you, and where you are, we will take the first step in our supportive but intensive outpatient treatment program. I'll help you take the first small steps toward a healthier lifestyle.
How It Works
My goal is to set you up for success. My intensive outpatient treatment programs provide the foundation for lifelong success, including working through your past and regrets. This may include learning to leave the things behind us that have held us back and looking forward to a brighter future.
My personal journey with food, pain, GI discomforts, and weight has been difficult because doctors and health services have ignored a lot of my concerns. Instead of looking for the root cause of my health issues, they jumped straight into medicating me.
Perhaps you feel the same way! Perhaps you feel as though you've tried everything but can't lose weight or that your GI distress just won't get better, no matter how many medications you take.
While there are no quick fixes for recovery or health, you don't need to live in pain, either. And you definitely don't have to work through it alone.
Whatever your nutrition or fitness goal is, let's do it together. If, after our initial discussion, you don't think that I'm the coach for you, that's no problem. I will do my best to provide you with direction on who is the right person to work with.
What you get with me is a lot of drive, passion, and determination—hence the name Persevere Wellness.

Nutritional Coaching
If you aren't familiar with the term, it's easy to confuse a "nutrition coach" with a "nutritionist" or a "dietician." Whereas nutritionists focus on food choices and dieticians focus on the treatment of injuries, illnesses, and diseases through food, nutrition coaches are focused on educating clients about making smarter food choices and achieving healthier outcomes.
Absolutely everyone can benefit from nutritional coaching. As a nutritional coach, I take a holistic approach to nutrition, focusing on improving physical, emotional, and mental health issues. I don't just prescribe yet another eating plan or treatment plan - I want to equip and empower you with the knowledge and state of mind you need to make better food choices.
What Nutritional Coaching Involves
- Using the dietary intervention to delay, reduce the symptoms of, and even eliminate complications caused by illness;
- Conducting dietary assessments and making recommendations based on your goals;
- Exploring treatment options together;
- Passing on my knowledge about nutritional science, including optimal macro- and micronutrient intake, portion sizes, and how to read food packaging labels;
- Creating a sustainable and healthy strategy for achieving your goal, whether it's weight loss or just achieving peak performance in a competitive sport.
Fitness Coaching
If you've joined a gym or hired a personal trainer before, here's the good news: I'm not a personal trainer. Personal trainers know enough about the human body to get you a rapid result and attack goals ahead of you - which usually means dishing out a restrictive diet and burning calories. It doesn't address the mental or spiritual aspects of exercise and nutrition.
In some instances, personal training can wear down your self-confidence and motivation. Instead, I like to focus on what you enjoy doing and building up your skills (and strength) over time.
A Fitter, Freer You
Good choices aren't about restriction or punishing yourself for consuming less fat and sugar. It's also not about locking yourself in a gym. Exercise is one of those things that is in all of us - but sometimes we need some help to get motivated.
Let's find an activity you enjoy and work towards a goal you want to meet. As a personal trainer, group fitness Instructor, and athlete, I can help you reach your goals. There is no goal too big, too small, or too silly. If it's your goal, that means it's important to you, so let's make it happen.
